ACL weekend 2 lineup

1. Encourage your riders to use the free shuttles and call for pickups from Republic Square Park (this creates less traffic around the park).
2. Use designated dropoff and pick up areas only.

1. Dropoff or pick up in lanes of traffic along Barton Springs
2. Dropoff or pick up along MoPac or Cesar Chavez
3. Use bus lanes to dropoff or pick up
4. Use Robert E. Lee to dropoff or pick up

The parking lot at Austin High School will be for fingerprinted drivers only. We will have a Ground Transportation Officer at the entrance of the lot looking for the fingerprint decal on vehicles. Keep in mind that we now have fingerprint service at 1111 Rio Grande Street, Austin, Texas where you can be fingerprinted. Drivers needing to be fingerprinted will need to sign-up for an appointment online at Use service code 11GYVN to set up an appointment at this location.

ACL scheduled road closures

1. GPS

This can be an issue for riders and drivers during ACL. There will be many times there is no cell service in this area. You may think your Fare app is not working but you actually do not have cell service. We suggest that you stay 1-2 miles away from Zilker Park to accept rides. Contact your rider prior to heading into the Zilker area. Set up a pick up location ahead of time and communicate an ETA. You can also give them identifiers for your car that may help them.

2. Road Knowledge

We will be sending you maps and pick-up and drop-off locations for the festival. We suggest taking a few hours leading up to ACL to familiarize yourself with the roads in the area. Also go ahead and take note of some pick-up landmarks that you can share with your riders.

3. Fingerprints

Drivers who have received their ID or fingerprint sticker will be able to pick up in special designated areas. Make sure to get this done and picked up before the festival.

4. Be Prepared

Remember, this is an outdoor festival. Mud, face paint, wet clothes and intoxicated riders can be a little messier then normal. You should have towels, plastic bags, paper towels, maybe even plastic floor mats if possible.

5. Pickups and Dropoffs

We will be sending out maps with designated spots to drop-off and pick-up riders. Please take a good look and even drive these areas a few times so you can get a good feel for the area.DO NOT DROP ANYONE OFF ON LAMAR! THEY WILL BE TICKETING DRIVERS UP TO $1000.00.

6. Riverside Rides

Getting someone from downtown to the festival can be a little tricky. Guadalupe will turn into 1st Street if you are going South. If you cross the river going South take a right on Riverside. This will take you towards Lamar Blvd. You can then turn left on Lee Barton Drive and drop off your rider. This will be the easiest way to get your riders from downtown.

7. Have Fun

People are going to ACL to have a good time. If you provide aux cords, high fives and keep a good upbeat vibe you will make much more money.

8. Water

People will be tired, hot and sometimes intoxicated. Have some cold water in the trunk ready for festival goers. A case of water is $3.00 and you will recoup that off one tip and it provides a great experience for the rider.

9. Drive Time

We know it will be very lucrative to drive during ACL. Please remember you are not permitted to drive more than 12 hours per shift. We will be tracking this so make sure you are in compliance.

10. Scheduled Trips

Make sure you take the extra time communicating to your scheduled riders. There will be a lot of new Fare app users and we want them to have the best experience possible.
